Launched back in 2002 by a group of local and creative visionaries who want to combine their passion with the stunning beauty of the region, the Noosa Long Weekend Festival is considered as one of the foremost regional cultural event in Australia.
The founding members of the festival include popular Australian playwright David Williamson, author Kristin Williamson, popular and renowned violinist Brett Dean, environmental activist Dr Michael Gloster, Ros McCauley, Rick Clayton and restaurateur Leonie Palmer-Fisher.
The Noosa Long Weekend festival offers a rich and eclectic program of events that has attracted international and Australian performers for twelve years. See and interact with musicians, filmmakers, performers, artists, commentators, environmentalists and chefs.
The festival has been historically held during June, but 2014 will see the festival held during July after the Queensland winter school holidays.
Tickets and ticketed events during the festival will be available for sale in May, 2014.
The Noosa Long Weekend Festival will take place on July 18 to 27, 2014 at The J, 60 Noosa Drive, Sunshine Coast. It is a short drive from our Coolum Beach Resort Accommodation.
