Trip Advisor reviewer ‘jdt3000’ provides a positive review of the restaurant: “Love their food! Loved this place. They do great food..Try the steak and ribs combo meal!”

But Trip Advisor Senior Reviewer ‘jen_ryan24’ is not happy with her experience in Mulu Char: “Poor service..I was very disappointed when our waitress said that there was only one option available that was gluten free…The waitresses seemed more interested in socialising with the kitchen staff than providing our table any service. Our waitress spilt wine all over the table when she poured our glasses. The food was average nothing special. Very disappointed with the service.”

Another reviewer `255068Lee’ has the same experience with the staff: “(Staff needs) Customer service training..the staff were rude, didn't know the menu, dripped the wine around the table when pouring. Did not offer pepper or the drink that came with one of the guest's food…All round bad experience. Will not return.”

However, Trip Advisor Senior Reviewer David R is more than satisfied with Mulu Char and describes it as a “Family surprise!…Food was very good and plentiful. My son had the steak and ribs that would have fed an entire Village! Veggie meals were great. Highlight was the soft shell crab. We sat outside near the river which was really lovely.”
